    Navy officials load boxes of croissants onto a plane as part of relief efforts for the Carnival Splendor cruise ship Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, in San Diego. The navy is sending more than 70,000 pounds of food to the cruise ship, as part of relief efforts.

    The passengers were never more the 50 miles from shore and were getting croissants airlifted to them. As I tweeted yesterday (@richgalen), not exactly the same level of deprivation as the Chilean miners.
