"� borne back ceaselessly into the past ...": F. Scott Fitzgerald and his wife, Zelda, are buried in a cemetery at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rockville, Maryland. He died at the age of 44 on December 21, 1940. Six years, to the day, before I was born.
I, as many others, have visited that gravesite. Upon his tombstone is engraved that last line from "The Great Gatsby."
