At the American Cemetery in Normandy

This C-130 is one of a flight of three that overflew the cemetery during D-Day week.

There is a large, circular wall as you walk into the cemetery listing thousands of names of service members whose bodies were never recovered.

Placed among the headstones throughout the cemetery is the opposite: The remains of a service member who could not be identified. This says:

With son, Reed (formerly "The Lad") celebrating our visit to Normandy; the culmination of over two decades of "next year we outta go." The trip was conceived, promoted, and organized by the Mulllings Director of Standards & Practices as her 40th Anniversary gift.
