    Ok. I read that the FAA has put into service a new ultra-high-tech system which allows planes to fly directly from point A to point B - thousands of miles - without having to hopscotch over VOR locations. Excellent.

    Why, then, does Delta need a tennis ball to guide the jet bridge about 10 feet.

    This, I expect to see in my mother's garage.
