    This poster has hung on the wall of every office I've been in since I brought it back from Hungary in 1990 after helping to build democratic systems following the collapse of Communism in 1989.

    It is a poster from the Hungarian Democratic Forum Party - the center-right party that got about 43% of the vote and went on to form the first democratic government since the Soviet Army had occupied the country in 1944.

    The poster, showing a Russian soldier from behind, says "Comrades, it's Over!"
