HELP GROW THE MULLINGS E-MAIL LIST!

One of the ways you can help Mullings grow is to get others to sign up for the free three-days-a-week Mullings column.

There are currently 27,393 of you on the Mullings database. I would like to grow the list to 30,000 which means something on the order of one-in-ten current subscribers need to get me one additional name to reach this goal.

Since the earliest days, MULLINGS has taken steps to not be seen as spam. I have actually consulted with anti-spam cops who have helped me stay out of trouble.

To that end, the person who is actually going to receive MULLINGS has to be the one to fill out the form. Else we run the risk of them - because they didn't know about this favor you were doing for them - e-mailing their internet service provider and complaining about receiving something they didn't ask for, even though it is free.

Of course, you don't have to stop at ONE name; you can (and I hope you will) e-mail your entire list and tell them to sign up!

    Why is this Important?

When I left for Baghdad I, in effect, pulled the sheets up over the furniture and took off. Mullings, as I've written before, is an actual business which generates revenue by paid subscriptions (for which this is not an appeal) and by advertising.

The advertisers, of course, want the widest possible audience for their ads, so this effort is specifically aimed at growing the e-mail list to attract new advertisers.

By the way, I never never sell, rent, or lend the names or e-mail addresses on the MULLINGS list. Someone who signs up for Mullings, gets only Mullings.

Ok. Stop already. How do they do this?

The process is simple: Ask everyone you've ever met - even the guy in the dairy department at the Safeway - to click on this URL: http://mullings.focusds.net ; fill in their name and their e-mail address and that's it.

    Thank you,

    Rich
