Al Gore spent about half his speech at the last Democratic National Convention detailing the death of his sister from lung cancer caused by cigarette smoking. The man who developed the campaign which derailed the anti-tobacco bill has now been hired by the Gore campaign, to the surprise and chagrin of many of his supporters who have been vehemently anti-tobacco on Gore's behalf.
