Christmas Songs

Friday, December 12, 2007

  • " White Christmas ...": Was written by Irving Berlin in, according to the Wikipedia entry in early 1940.

  • " Winter Wonderland ...": According to the Carols.org website Winter Wonderland was written in 1934 - six years before White Christmas - by Felix Bernard and lyricist Richard B. Smith.

I wonder if they ever complained about that listen/glisten rhyme in White Christmas.

  • " Arbor Day ...": According to the website President Nixon proclaimed the last Friday in April as National Arbor Day.

  • " Terry Bradshaw ...": Here's the link on Amazon.com but the album is no longer available. Alas.

  • " Car Bailout ...": Here's the AP story about the UAW skuttling the deal to bail out the carmakers.

    Mullfoto of the Day

This is an actual photo of my actual Blackberry showing how long I was kept on hold by Comcast yesterday who had called me to tell me that they needed to talk to me - and then put me on hold.

After being put on hold for over 18 minutes, they told me I handn't paid my Comcast bill. I paid by credit card and then called the Mullings Director of Standards & Practices who informed me she had, in fact paid that bill.

Customer service, is what it's called.

    Catchy Caption of the Day

    Actual Caption:

Heidi Klum attends the grand opening cocktail party for the new Victoria Secret Lexington Avenue Flagship Store on December 2, 2008 in New York City.

Big-name celebrities are trying to warm the hearts of homeless people freezing on the streets in Canada's sub-zero winter, offering special cold-busting coats.
