  • "... Fetzer Valve ...": A line from the Chevy Chase movie "Fletch" when he was impersonating an aircraft machanic. "It's all ball bearings now-a-days."

  • "... the Cadillac of minivans ...": From another movie, a John Travolta vehicle, "Get Shorty." I know that Oldsmobiles aren't made anymore. But that was the vehicle Chili Palmer was given when he asked for a Cadillac at the rental place.

  • "... East German Judges ...": I could have written about lying French figure skating judges, but that wouldn't have been funny. It would have been true.

  • "... Two Polls ...": The e-mail version of Mullings contains an typo - four and six points repectively." It should read, "four and eight points respectively.

    The CNN/USA Today poll, which is conducted by Gallup, has the race as 52-44.

  • Mullfoto of the Day

    This is a photo of my anniversary present from the
    Mullings Director of Standards & Practices.

    I haven't actually ridden the Mull-Scooter. But I sat on it
    all day in front of Mullings Central and made very realistic
    "vroom-vroom" sounds.
