That's Why They Call it a Trial

Title: “That’s Why They Call it a Trial” -- Is a reference to the now-outdated use of the word “trial” as in, “that Rich Galen is SUCH a trial.”

“What is with CJ Rehnquist’s graduation robes?” -- Chief Justice Rehnquist’s choice of chevrons on the sleeves of his robes reminded me of the stripes on the robes of holders of doctorate degrees at college graduation ceremonies.

“I hate to agree with Don Imus . . .” -- Don Imus is a NY radio personality whose program is simulcast on MSNBC from 6-9 AM Eastern time Monday through Friday. I hate to agree with him.

“The current pace of the Senate . . . is warp factor 10.” -- Warp factor is a reference to the space ship on Star Trek – the Enterprise’s – speedometer.

“Danny Williams” -- There was a huge internet buzz about a 13-year-old named Danny Williams who is the son of a prostitute from Arkansas. Danny’s mom had told him all his life that Bill Clinton was his daddy because, as she said, Clinton was the only White man she had slept with that month. The DNA tests (paid for by the Star tabloid) to see whether Bill Clinton could have fathered the boy, came back negative.
