Mr. Rove and Miss Frances

Monday July 30, 2001

  • TITLE: "Mr. Rove and Miss Frances" Of, course, if Ding Dong School were on the air now it would be Ms. Frances.

  • "… 9.8 million square feet …" Equals 225 Acres. Plow it, plant it, water it, harvest it … I believe we have the makings of a nice farm, here.

  • "…Daschle is the most partisan …" Senator Daschle, since becoming Majority Leader after the switcheroo by Jeffords, has been very busy turning himself into the American equivalent of the "Leader of the Loyal Opposition" if he were in Britain.

  • "… Miss Frances was the Mr. Rogers …" Miss Frances would explain things, like: How seeds grow into plants. You would occasionally have to glue things together, or cut them apart with scissors, but you would have to get your parent to be with you. I didn't have glue or scissors, so I pretended. Much as I do today when I'm doing something which requires brains.

  •     Mullings' Catchy Caption of the Day:

Daschle: Heyyy! You been working out? That's a lot firmer
than I thought it would be!
