  • TITLE: "ISBN 0-439-13959-7" This is the Library of Congress catalog number for the Harry Potter Book.

This is the fourth in the series which is reportedly going to go to seven books. There story line supports this theory as Hogwarts, the school for wizards and witches which Harry attends, is a seven-year program and each book covers one year.

  • The ISBN (International Standard Book Number) system was established in 1968 as a standard identification system for books and other monographic publications. Today all book databases use the ISBN to track books, and almost every item found in a bookstore has one.

  • "… and George W. is not Thomas Dewey." Dewey, having built a huge lead over Truman, decided to play only to his base - the conservative wing of the GOP. Truman went on the whistle-stop tour to end all whistle-stop tours speaking before (according to some accounts) some six million people complaining about the Congress.

It is not clear that anyone on the planet except for Al Gore thinks that George W. has anything whatsoever to do with the Congress. In fact, I seem to remember, last year, when the Congress was toying with the idea of delaying payments under the Earned Income Tax Credit program that Bush took them to task.

  • "my copy of the U.S. Constitution…" Article I; Section 3 reads in part, "The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided."

  • "Also Sprach Tracy Mayberry." From "Also Sprach Zarathrustra (Thus Spake Zarathrustra) better known as the theme song from "2001: A Space Odyssey".
