  • " Lawrence Summers ...": Here's the link to the Boston Globe's coverage of the Summers v. Faculty wars at Harvard.

  • " troglodyte ...": Which I looked up for you, having previously believed it was a made-up word by Zeger & Evans for their greatest and only hit: (In the Year) 2525, but here is Merriam-Webster's info:
    Function: noun

Etymology: Latin Troglodytae, plural, a cave-dwelling people of Ethiopia, from Greek tromacrglodytai cave dwellers, from tromacrglodytemacrons one who enters caves, from tromacrglemacron hole, cave + -dytemacrons one who enters (from dyein to enter)

1 a : a member of a primitive people dwelling in caves or pits : CAVE DWELLER
b : an animal (as an ant) that lives under the surface of the ground

2 a : a person felt to resemble (as in appearance, ways of living, or degradation or brutality of nature) a troglodyte; especially : an unsocial seclusive person
b : an anthropoid ape (as a chimpanzee or gorilla)

  • " Google and Noods ...": Here's a summary of the case from the ABC News website.

    Mullfoto of the Day

In England specifially, and among other cultures in Europe a toilet is known as a W.C. or Water Closet.

In my room at Le Meridien in Paris last week, I thought they took the "closet" concept a bit too literally.

    Catchy Caption of the Day

    Actual Caption:

A crocodile rests inside its enclosure at a zoological park. Australian police in Sydney were hunting a stray crocodile after residents spotted the reptile in a local pond.

Quick! Call the Secret Undisclosed Location and see if Cheney wants to go hunting again.
