  • "ABQ Journal I ...": Here's the front pager from the ABQ Journal on Pecos Bill's withdrawal from consideration as Commerce Secretary.

  • "ABQ Journal II ...": Here's the coverage from the Albuquerque Journal on the details of the questions surrounding Richardson's dealings the California financial company.

  • " Bernie Kerik ...": Here's the NY Times' look at Kerik's nanny problem as well as the other issues which quickly piled up when people actually started looking at him.

  • " What did he know ...? ...": In 1973, Tennessee Senator Howard Baker was the ranking Republican on the Senate Committee which had been assembled to look into what had become known as the Watergate scandal.

    From Wikipedia:

The hearings held by the Senate Committee in which many other former key administration officials gave dramatic testimony, were broadcast from May 17 to August 7, 1973, causing devastating political damage to [President Richard] Nixon. An estimated 85% of Americans with television sets tuned in to at least one portion of the hearings.

Perhaps the most memorable question of the hearings came when Republican Senator Howard Baker of Tennessee asked "What did the President know, and when did he know it?", which focused attention for the first time on Nixon's personal role in the scandal.

So, we can agree that the matter before the Beverly, Ohio Town Council titled "What shall we name the street which runs along the edge of the town cemetery" has been settled?

    Catchy Caption of the Day

    Actual Caption:

An extremely rare 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante, is seen in a garage in Gosforth, England, where it was found by relatives after the death of the owner, an elderly doctor who last used it around 1960. The Bugatti, one of only 17 ever made, is expected to draw a record price when it is auctioned in Paris next month.

Aw, man?! Now we're going to have to bail out Bugatti Motors, too?
